Ingredients
- 1/2 tsp Oil
- 25 gm Onion (1/3 medium, chopped)
- 1 tsp garlic (chopped)
- 100 gm Carrot (1 medium, chopped)
- 1/4 tsp Cumin Seeds
- 1/4 tsp Turmeric Powder
- 1/4 tsp Cinnamon Powder
- 15 gm Lentil (masoor dal) (1 tbsp, raw)
- 25 gm Tomato (diced)
- Water as required
- 1 tsp Lemon Juice (5 ml)

Instructions
- Soak the lentil (masoor dal) for 2 hours
- Heat oil in a large pot over medium heat. Then sauté the onion and garlic until they turn soft (for about 2 minutes)
- Add the spices and continue to sauté for another 2 minutes
- Add the carrots and sauté until they turn tender
- Add water, diced tomatoes and soaked lentils and stir it well. Simmer on low heat for 10 minutes, or until lentils are tender.
- Blend the mixture to create a creamy soup. Serve the soup with fresh lemon juice.
