The Health Total Approach
The Health Total Immunity Booster plan is designed for those individuals who have a low immunity. A healthy body is in a much better position to fight all kinds of illnesses. So, Health Total approach starts with the detoxification process. The Immunity Booster plan includes a lot of foods to boost immunity naturally. A high-protein diet post detoxification is a must along with these foods to maintain good health. Mild exercises, healthy food plan along with lifestyle modification help to strengthen your immunity and protect you from premature aging and chronic infections.
Here’s what the immunity booster plan includes –
Food Plan
At Health Total, we recommend including nuts, especially almonds, in your daily diet. Also, vitamin-rich foods help to boost immunity. These foods include spinach, carrots, sweet potatoes, kale, broccoli, red bell pepper and chicken soup.
Increase your protein intake by adding soy and soy products, eggs, fish and sprouts to your regular meal. Some juices that can help boost your immunity are haldi, amla, tulsi, aloe vera, wheatgrass juice (also good for weight loss), and mint and coriander.
Herbal Formulation
Ayurveda plays a major part in the integrated Health Total approach. The herbal formulation is made up of four herbs, each known for its immune-boosting qualities. They are –
Tulsi: Tulsi leaves not only fight the harmful disease-causing bacteria and virus, but also boost the production of healthy immune cells. You can chew or swallow three to four fresh Tulsi leaves on an empty stomach to increase immunity.
Haridra: This is one of the most common ingredients used in every household. Its anti-inflammatory property can treat common cold and cough. It prevents cholesterol absorption in the intestines and helps in chronic inflammation. Turmeric also prevents cell aging and promotes weight loss.
Guduchi: It helps increase the effectiveness of protective white blood cells as well as in building the body’s own defence mechanism. Studies conducted on Guduchi’s immune-boosting ability show it to be linked to enhancing the function of protective cells. This improves the immune system and the body’s resistance to infections.
Amla: An excellent source of Vitamin C, amla boosts immunity, metabolism and prevents bacterial and viral ailments. Amla juice balances the processes in the body and brings to equilibrium all the three doshas – vata, kapha and pitta.
Exercise plan
In the Health Total immunity booster plan, we suggest a mild exercise plan, which includes 30-40 minutes of cardiovascular (active) exercise (5 times a week). This will help regularise the flow of free fatty acids for burning. Moderate physical activity makes a big difference while being on our immunity booster plan. It can give you amazing results in terms of losing weight.
