The Health Total Approach
Skin is the largest organ of the body. It is the protective layer that safeguards the internal organs, regulates the body temperature and helps the body remove excess water and salt. The condition of your skin is often a reflection of your insides.
At Health Total, we believe that healthy skin is determined not only by good external care, but also by internal health. So, we use ‘food as medicine’ to combat the free radical attacks that affect overall health and steal the beauty of your skin.
The Health Total approach for skin improvement is a 4-step scientific process, which is easy-to-follow, and really works! We believe good nutrition has a powerful impact on a person’s health and is the number one holistic medicine tool. So, the Health Total methodology brings together the best for you —
- Qualified nutritionists and doctors
- Scientific 4-step process
- Natural nutritional therapy
- Ayurveda to heal and balance

- Support and motivation at every step

Here’s what the Health Total Skin Improvement plan includes –
Food plan
The programme starts with a skin health-friendly diet, along with Ayurvedic herbs and supplements, for detoxification and rejuvenation.
Dietary fibre: This includes high-fibre foods such as vegetables, fruits, legumes, husk and unrefined grains. Soluble fibre is found in oat bran, barley, flaxseeds meal, apples, citrus fruits, lentils and beans.
Functional foods: Functional foods have medicinal properties that encourage cell growth and are helpful in an anti-aging regimen. Sunflower seeds, alsi and pumkin seeds help to improve skin, but all depends on your skin and body type.
Omega-3 fatty acids: Foods rich in Omega-3 fatty acids may also help to improve skin texture and bring back the glow. Other dietary sources of Omega-3 fatty acids are flaxseed, walnuts, fish oil capsules, rice bran oil, flaxseed and flaxseed oil.
Anti-oxidants: Antioxidant-rich foods like juices of raw vegetable, amla and wheatgrass, and raw veggies as well as salads help to repair damage to body’s tissue. Antioxidants can help to protect your skin from sunburn and tanning. Unlike sunscreens and moisturizers, antioxidants protect from inside out by guarding the skin cells.
Herbal plan
Ayurveda has classified and documented the “miraculous” properties of medicinal herbs that counteract the excess sugar and other toxins in the body. They combine with the skin cells to inhibit multiplication of the virus. The absence of a breeding ground results in the elimination of the virus.
Detox and rejuvenating herbs such as manjishta, amla, haridra and aloe vera remove toxins from the system, thus enhancing your skin. Antioxidant supplements like A/C/E/Zinc/Selenium along with Omega-3 fatty acids help in achieving blemish-free skin.
